Many of us who are baby boomers are feeling that tug of getting older. We are not as fast or infallible as we once were. One of the things that really bothers me is the fact that my memory is not what it once was. When I was younger, I was so proud of the fact that I had a near perfect memory. I could remember numbers after seeing them once. I had phone numbers memorized for long periods of time. I never wrote them down in the phone book. Everyone in the family depended on me to keep up with everything. Now I am lucky to know what I go into the kitchen for by the time I get there. I will remember by the time I walk back into the living room  but it is very frustrating for someone like me!

I have to change the way that I do things. I have started writing everyone’s number down in the back of the phone book for the first time in years. I have started keeping a list of things that I need to get at the market when I go for things. I also even have to write a list to take with me so I do not forget all the stops I need to make. I really am aggravated with all of this. I do take a medication for my sciatica which aggravates and can cause problems with short term memory.  I am seeing the ramifications of this.

I have started looking for some ways to help improve my memory that are natural. I read an article the other day about using brain games to help keep your memory fresh. Here is one place to play Brain Games You might want to try these out to see if you are having issues with your memory as I am.

I also read about taking Siberian Ginseng to improve my memory. It also helps to improve your circulation. So I am really thinking about purchasing some of this to take and see how it works for about a month along with playing the brain games and see if I notice any improvement here. I will let you know if I see an improvement. I have read reports that others have seen definite improvement after playing the games as well as taking the Ginseng, so I think it is definitely worth a try!
